A stroll for Skinner

Published: 17 Feb 2015

The CFMEU was saddened by the loss last year of Adrian 'Skinner' McLoughlin.

An effective organiser through the 1990s and 2000s, Skinner is fondly remembered, particularly for his efforts leading chants at the head of many a union rally.

We are delighted to hear that family and friends of Skinner have organised a commemorative walk in his local Palmerstown area of Dublin to take place on March 15.

Funds raised will support the work of Pieta House,  the first centre in Ireland to specialise in the prevention of self-harm and suicide.

It is hoped that the event will be attended and supported by those who knew Adrian as well as the wider community of Palmerstown and beyond. The route will take participants from the entrance to Waterstown Park for a 5k (approx) stroll through the beautiful park overlooking the Strawberry Beds and the River Liffey, and back to the Palmerstown House for a fundraising raffle.
