In a recent incident at the Glen Shopping Centre, a scissor lift of this make and model dropped approximately 3 metres without notice while an air con plumber was working on it. Luckily nobody was seriously hurt on this occasion. 

Shade cloth does a great job, however we need to make sure it complies with all Australian Standards after the dramatic fire in Sydney recently. This wasn’t the first serious incident involving this particular product, which is Dynamesh.

A 54 year old man has been killed after a fatal crushing incident. The boilermaker was understood to be operating a boom lift on the ProBuild Melbourne Convention Centre site. He was a Stilcon employee, family and CFMEU Officials are on site.

Workers were lucky to escape without major injuries when a backhoe rolled onto its side at the Bayswater Level Crossing Removal project.

The CFMEU says appropriate control measures were not in place and the incident highlights ongoing safety concerns at the site.

As a result of precast/formwork meeting, provided the checklist is complied with, panel erection will continue as normal.

A 54 year old man has tragically died after falling approxiamately 20 metres down a lift well in an incident at a Hamilton Marino site in Carlton.

The building industry is dangerous, but workplace fatalities are unacceptable.

CFMEU EBAs state that workers will stop work and leave site when the temperature reaches 35 degrees.

We all know that coming closer to the end of the year, bosses start pushing harder to get jobs finished and corners start getting cut.
